Please ensure that you have all of the required items with you when you
arrive at Camp Ripley. If you require medications or special food
items, you must bring these with you and notify the in-processing
staff. Please review this document carefully. It is your
responsibility to bring all of the items you will need during the course
of the MLA with you.
*If cadets bring laptop computers or CELL PHONES they will be checked in during in-processing and returned to you during out-processing. A receipt will be provided. Uniforms: You are responsible for ensuring your grooming meets all CAPM 39-1 standards prior to arrival. We will be on post with several Reserve and Army Guard units. We must all make special efforts to look and behave appropriately to best represent CAP. BCOC Students: The duty uniform will be the short-sleeve blues combination with no ribbons. The service coat will not be worn by students. Ribbons and devices are authorized for graduation on Sunday. Flight Caps are the only headgear authorized for BCOC students. No service caps will be worn by students. USAF Style sweaters and jackets are authorized with appropriate CAP Insignia. All-Weather Coats are also authorized. Uniform items required for BCOC students:
NCOS students: The uniform during NCOS will be the complete Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) with black t-shirts. Uniform items required for NCOS students:
Note: Woodland camouflage or the CAP distinctive blue coloring may be worn, but the cap, trousers and blouse must match (color and fabric). Cadets over 18 who do not meet the CAP weight and grooming standards for wear of the USAF style uniform must wear the CAP distinctive blue BDU uniform. NCOS Students: You will be conducting part of your training outside so bring a jacket and outer gear that is appropriate for the weather. Typically the temperatures reach down into the 30s and 40s with moderate to strong winds. It is your responsibility to dress accordingly. After hours (BCOC and NCOS): Civilian clothes or PT clothes. Squadron and CAP shirts are welcomed and encouraged. Shirts with inappropriate themes are not authorized. If you do not have a uniform item, contact your squadron’s supply for it or have your squadron contact Wing Supply and they may be able to help. There will be a contraband search conducted upon your arrival. No weapons, tobacco products, adult beverages, illegal substances or pornographic materials are allowed at this or any other CAP event. If these materials are found they will be confiscated and you may face disciplinary actions (at the very least your parents and squadron commander will be contacted). You will be extremely busy during the MLA, leave unessential items (such as iPods, portable video game systems, board games, etc.) at home. If you have questions, please email mla@mncap.org |
