Welcome to St Paul Squadron!

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is mandated by Congress to perform the three following missions:

  • Cadet Programs

  • Aerospace Education

  • Emergency Services

Civil Air Patrol volunteers perform:

  • Mentoring:  Every day the adults (Senior Officers) of the CAP mentor our youth (Cadets) in leadership, citizenship, aerospace education, and emergency services.  Our cadets, in turn, mentor their peers creating a positive atmosphere in their schools and communities.

  • Search and Rescue: by flying more than 90% of the nation’s inland search and rescue operations - every year more than 100 people are saved by CAP members!

  • Disaster Relief: by playing a vital role in disaster relief operations by providing air and ground support and other needed services in time of fire, flood, and disaster.

  • Humanitarian Services: by transporting blood and human tissue for medical missions when other means of transportation are not possible.

  • Air Force Support: by performing several missions in direct support of the U.S. Air Force: damage assessment, communications support, and low-altitude route surveys.

  • Counter drug: by assisting law enforcement agencies in the confiscation or eradication of billions of dollars of illegal drugs annually by flying photo reconnaissance flights.
