FLIGHT OPERATIONS

Cadet
Orientation Flights: Are conducted for CAP and Air Force
ROTC cadets to introduce them to the wonders of flight.
Flights are conducted in powered aircraft and sailplanes
(gliders).
- Flight safety:
Safety is paramount in all that CAP does. All pilots must attend
the mandatory monthly safety briefing and other training.

Airplane and hangar: A Cessna 172 or 182 is usually
assigned to the squadron and is kept in a hangar at the
Saint Paul Airport.

Flight training:
The squadron has numerous flight instructors who provide
primary training for cadets (private pilot license) and
advanced training for cadets and senior members at No
Hourly Charge for the instructor and about $60 per
Tach-hour for the aircraft (wet).
