Government RelationsThe Government Relations Advisor (GRA) is responsible for recruiting Minnesota Members of Congress to the CAP Congressional Squadron on Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and recruiting Members of the Minnesota Legislature to the MN Wing Legislative Squadron in Saint Paul. The Government Relations Advisor reports to the Wing Commander. The best recruiters for Legislators are constituents, and YOU are a constituent. You can see your State and Federal Senators and Representatives by going to Who Represents You, then check to see if they are a member of CAP at CAP Congressional and Legislative Members if your Legislator is not a member, please contact him/her and ask them to join. The Government Relations Advisor is responsible for the planning for the DC Day on the Hill which precedes the Command Council in DC usually the last week in February each year. He/She is also responsible for all official CAP contacts with MN Members of Congress and MN State Legislators. | |
